Back in 2015 I had been contacted by Glynn. Sadly their lovely dog Buddy passed away in February and he wanted to commission a portrait of him for his wife’s birthday. The photo I used as a reference for the portrait wasn’t particularly clear but Glynn kindly provided more photos where I can see more details. I do like to make portraits as detailed as possible and sometimes the favourite pictures are not great quality, this is where it is really helpful to get more photos of your lovely pet(s) so I could see the details.
In the portrait I positioned Buddy on the lovely soft blanket. The painting come out pretty good!When Glynn saw the photo of the painting I think he was quite pleased: “Yes that’s Buddy for sure, what can I say it’s Brilliant!!! I think my wife will love it.”
